MHOP is a region-wide worship and prayer ministry, COMMITTED to establishing night & day worship and prayer in Manchester

Jesus is worthy of unceasing worship. It's what He surrounds Himself with in heaven and what He desires upon the earth. Not only does He desire it, but He made a way for us to participate in it! Jesus shed His blood to redeem us that He would have a royal priesthood on the earth. Our response is to establish a place of night and day worship, where Jesus is exalted with no other agenda than the reality that He deserves it. It truly is our greatest privilege that we get to do this!

Each one of us was made for relationship with Jesus. We are His inheritance! His love for us is what led Him to the cross and His invitation to us is to receive His love and respond to it. The prayer room is a place to sit at the feet of Jesus, like Mary of Bethany, to gaze upon His beauty, and let Him become the one thing that is needed, at the centre of our lives. Our response is wholehearted voluntary obedience. Though it may be costly He is more than worth it!

Our prayer room is open to believers from across the spectrum of the church, from different traditions and denominations. We echo the prayer of Jesus that the love of God would be in us towards one another, that we would be gracious to one another, that He would be glorified by the way we serve one another. As we respond to His love we seek to create a place where everyone in the room has a voice, whether someone is serving on team or is in the room, we get to do this together.

Inspired by what we read about God’s heavenly throne room and what we see patterned in David’s tabernacle we combine musical worship with prayer. This creates an enjoyable atmosphere where we encounter God’s heart as we sing to Him and then pray with confidence knowing He hears us and He really cares about what we say. By keeping God’s word at the centre, we create a dynamic context where we can be prophetic and responsive in our melodies, songs and prayers.

God has a redemptive plan for the earth and He will pour out His spirit on all flesh, including in Greater Manchester! We believe that the local church, in all it’s diversity, plays a vital part in fulfilling God’s plan which is why we’re so passionate about praying for each church in the region, that they would fulfil the calling God has for them, that they would be strengthened by His might.

Prayer is the foundation of the great commission, it is how Jesus Himself is ruling His kingdom. Our prayers really matter. Jesus promised that God’s justice would be released at the sound of His people crying out to Him and He doesn’t leave us guessing what to pray but He is looking to invite us into intercession, which is simply agreeing with His will and His plan. Amongst many other things, the Lord has asked us to pray for the sanctity of marriage, the family, and life, for reformation of government and society, and an understanding of God’s purposes for Israel.

Jesus is the beginning and the end of God’s great plan for creation and history. The bible is clear that there will be a movement of worship and prayer across the earth that would stir the zeal of Jesus and usher in His return. So whilst it sometimes feel like what we do is insignificant, the songs we sing join with the songs of the nations and the sound that surrounds Him on His throne in heaven. This is why we are committed to train, equip and release people into this global movement, that the cry would come from every tribe, tongue, people and nation, Maranatha, come Lord Jesus!
We have 7 foundational values that inform everything we do.
